My family has been active in the plumbing and electrical trades for over 115 years. As the youngest in a fourth-generation trades business, I grew up bending pipes on construction sites. I experienced first-hand how slow and manual quoting in our industry is.
As an engineer at Google, I used data and AI to solve tough problems. This is when I teamed up with my co-founders Stefan and Sean to set out on a deeply personal mission: bring cutting-edge AI from Silicon Valley to the backbone of our economy. For the companies that keep our world running. For hard-working people like my family.

Lukas Bock is responsible for business development at Mercura. With his background as a Data Scientist in the Global Data & AI Team at Allianz and as an AI Engineer at Google in Silicon Valley, he brings extensive expertise in data and AI.
Lukas’ family has been active in the construction industry for over 100 years, giving him a deep understanding and passion for the sector's specific needs.
Co-Founder & CPO
Stefan Zheng leads product development at Mercura. Previously, he worked in management consulting at Bain & Company, where he helped manufacturing companies improve their sales processes.
Stefan leverages his research experience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School to develop innovative solutions for the industry.
Co-Founder & CTO
Sean Sdahl is responsible for technical development at Mercura. As a top 0.01% physicist, Sean earned a Silver medal for Germany at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), began researching with the Max Planck Institute at the age of 16, and has since published at leading machine learning conferences.
At Mercura, Sean draws on his software engineering experience at firms such as PwC, Bosch, and Mercedes-Benz AMG.
